Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sindhi Business Network website, directory and related services (together, the “Platform”). By visiting the Platform, creating an account, listing a business, submitting a review or requesting a member’s contact details, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that business, and “you” refers to both you and that business.

2. Who we are

The Platform is operated by [legal entity name], registered at [registered address], India (“we”, “us”, “our”). Sindhi Business Network is a community directory: we help members of the Sindhi business community find and connect with one another. We are not a party to any transaction, engagement or agreement you enter into with another member.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering, and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You may invite colleagues to help manage your business listing. You remain responsible for what they do on the Platform.
  • One person or business may not maintain duplicate accounts.

4. Listings and member content

“Member content” means anything you submit to the Platform — business details, descriptions, photographs, logos, product and service listings, prices, events and reviews.

  • You retain ownership of your member content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. This licence ends when you remove the content, except for copies retained in routine backups.
  • You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including photographs and logos, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
  • Listings must describe a real, operating business and must be accurate. Prices are indicative unless you state otherwise, and are shown in Indian Rupees (₹).
  • Listings are reviewed before they appear publicly. We may approve, reject, edit for formatting, or ask for more information. Approval is not an endorsement, certification or guarantee of any business.
  • We may remove or suspend any listing or content that breaches these Terms, without notice where the breach is serious.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory or harassing.
  • Impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
  • Scrape, harvest, bulk-download or systematically extract member data — including contact details — by any automated means.
  • Use contact details obtained from the Platform to send unsolicited bulk marketing, or to sell, rent or otherwise pass those details to a third party.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, or any system connected to it, or interfere with its normal operation.
  • Use the Platform to compile a competing directory or database.

6. Reviews and ratings

  • Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the business. Incentivised, fabricated and self-authored reviews are not permitted.
  • You may not review your own business, a business you work for, or a direct competitor.
  • Reviews are moderated before publication. We may decline or remove a review that breaches these Terms, but we do not adjudicate commercial disputes between members and we do not remove a review simply because it is unflattering.
  • Ratings shown on a listing are an average of published reviews and are provided for information only.

7. Membership, plans and payments

  • A standard listing is free. Paid membership plans, where offered, provide additional features such as an extended profile, a photo gallery and priority placement in directory results.
  • All fees are quoted and payable in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive or exclusive of GST as stated at the point of purchase.
  • Membership features apply for the period paid for. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once the membership period has begun. [Confirm refund and cancellation policy.]
  • We may change plan pricing or features on reasonable notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal.
  • Priority placement affects the order in which listings appear. It does not affect verification status, and it is disclosed as a membership feature here.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform, its design, its software and the Sindhi Business Network name and marks belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you. You may not copy, adapt or reuse them without our written permission, other than incidental use of your own listing.

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights, contact us at the address in section 17 with enough detail to identify the material and your claim, and we will investigate.

9. Third-party links

Listings may link to member websites, social profiles, booking pages and registration forms operated by others. We do not control those destinations, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, practices or privacy policies. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

10. Privacy and your data

  • Member contact details — telephone, email, website and street address — are not shown publicly. They are revealed only to a visitor who has provided their own name, telephone number and email address, and to people who are part of the business.
  • When you reveal a business’s contact details, we record that you did so and share your name, telephone number and email address with that business as an enquiry. Businesses may contact you about the enquiry.
  • We use a cookie to remember that you have provided your details, so you do not have to enter them again.
  • If you are a business, you must handle enquiry details lawfully, use them only to respond to the enquiry, and not pass them on.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the Platform or its content.

In particular: listings are supplied by members, and while we review them we cannot guarantee that any listing is accurate, current or complete, that a business holds the qualifications, licences or registrations it claims, or that any business will perform to your satisfaction. Verification is a community process, not a professional audit. Please carry out your own checks before entering into any transaction.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the Platform or from any dealings between you and another member.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the greater of the total fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ₹[amount]. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your member content, your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law or third-party right.

14. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or any listing if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your use of the Platform harms other members. Where it is practical and appropriate we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.

On termination, your listings stop being publicly visible. Sections that by their nature should survive — including sections 8, 11, 12, 13 and 16 — continue to apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice through the Platform or by email. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [city], India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, and you and we submit to that jurisdiction.
